Gold Dupe Exploit

World of Warcraft is not dupe proof! After the Diablo II epidemic of hacking and item duping, you would think Blizzard would have taken care of item manipulation. But the hackers are always a step ahead…as proof of item and gold duping exists. Thankfully, the Blizzard Team is taking steps to remove players who receive unfair advantages.

The dupe exploit how-to:
1.) Player 1 hands player 2 XXX amount of gold
2.) Player 1 goes into instance, but gets kicked back out after waiting a period of time
3.) Player 1 receives the gold he traded and player 2 keeps the gold he received.
4.) Repeat for 10 minutes or until it stops working and you get inside the instance.

You can only do the bug early in the morning after a server reset, have a friend to login with you and trade him your money (or vice versa) then the person who traded his money runs into the instance, waits about 1 minute – 1 minute and 30 seconds and gets booted out, he should have his money back if all worked well. It doesn’t work 24/7, normally during peak hours and after server resets are the best times to try it.

Rooftop Camping Banned

Blizzard no longer condones rooftop camping. (Article) This is when a player camps on town roofs to avoid guards and wreak havoc on other players who can’t reach them.

Instance Map addon

Server Woes

Some WOW realms have been unstable all weekend. The list includes more than 10 servers. While those were down, people moved on to other servers to occupy their time. This shot queues through the roof.
” There was a hardware issue on an important part of the realm setup. We endeavored to keep as many realms up and running as we could while going on-site to fix the problem, but unfortunately other issues cropped up as a result that ended up requiring downtime for these realms.”

Blizzard Releases Numbers

“The company’s most recent release was World of Warcraft®, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the award-winning Warcraft series. It launched on November 23, 2004 in North America, Australia, and New Zealand, and promptly shattered all sales records for a PC title, as well as setting records or account creation and peak concurrency for an online game. It became the fastest PC title to sell over 240,000 units, with the biggest day one sell through in PC history. In less than three months, it had already sold over 800,000 copies in North America. With a subscriber base of more than 750,000 players and peak concurrency of over 250,000 users, World of Warcraft is now the biggest online game in North America.

Within a few months of launching in North America, World of Warcraft also launched in Korea and Europe with equal success. On January 18, 2005, World of Warcraft released in Korea, and in just one day had achieved peak concurrency of over 100,000 players. Most recently, the game launched in Europe on February 11, 2005, to even greater success than in North America. In its first day alone, World of Warcraft sold through over 280,000 copies, and in just three days, it had already sold over 380,000 units. After just its first weekend, Europe had already hit peak concurrency of over 180,000 players. World of Warcraft is now slated to release in China later this year. “

The WoW team has posted a few updates here and some of it actually looks promising. However, before they do ANYTHING with the UI system or additional content, I would love to see the queue’s on Warsong and many other realms go away. Thirty minute queues make me turn WoW the game and go play Counter-Strike or something. Who’s with me?

Clan Pendulum

This news post is to welcome members from Pendulum and BBR on the Warsong server to Inside Wow. Some changes will be made here so we can turn this into a clan website. But for now, we’ll have clan news, a screenshot database, patch download database. Clan forums will be over at the broadbandreports website.

The mission for Pendulum is currently being made, but these are some points i would like to include. Hieorarchy ranking system with a democratic process for a rank called Clan Represenatives. These people are elected officials with officer power. Officers are chosen by the master, and will usually remain permanate. Instead of adding more Officers, we will elect another Clan Rep (to spread the power).

There are no level restrictions… because we only want active players. If your active, (time not determined yet) your level will be up sooner or later anyways. In addition, members need to register on broadbandreports.com and should participate in the WoW Forums.

If there are any problems with members, please contact a clan rep or an officer. If there are any problems with a Clan Rep or officer, please contact the Guild Master.
